# Monitor public endpoints

**Step 1:** Log in to the FPT Cloud Portal [at https://console.fptcloud.com/](https://console.fptcloud.com/)

**Step 2:** **On the FPT Cloud Portalmenu**,\*\*click **Monitoring.**

**Step 3:Click on the details of a Workspace, then navigate to the Add Data**tab.

**Step 4:** **Scroll down to the Endpointssection**.\*\*Users can create a new endpoint to monitor by clicking the New endpoint button and filling in the required information.

**Step 5:** After successfully creating a new endpoint, click the dashboard link generated on the list screen.

**Step 6**: Users will be redirected to the dashboard page to monitor the endpoint.

Endpoints allow monitoring of HTTP(S) links such as: websites, APIs.

The list of metrics that can be monitored includes:

* Status: up / down
* HTTP status code: 2xx, 3xx, 4xx, etc.
* HTTP version: 1.0, 1.1, 2
* SSL support
* SSL expiration
* HTTP duration
* DNS lookup
